A Sucky Day.

Today was extremely screwed up. Woke up late, freakin tired. Got to school, realized I forgot something which I left at home. Went up to the hall, suddenly felt my knee hurt like shit. The pain then spread to my calf. Later on, someone quit. I was reduced to a psycho on a scolding rampage. For many Lower Secs pissed me off today.

Now I'm banned from walking. How retarded is that? Ok, a self-imposed ban but nonetheless, it sucks. I wanna rest my knee for handball, see.

But none of all this can be compared. To this.

Langkawi!!

HELLO EVERYONE!!

I apologize for my long absence from the blogosphere! But I'm back! For however short a period time, but for now, I'M BACK!

Now, for the biggest event that life has catapulted my way since the last time I blogged and now, has to be the Prefects' Langkawi Trip! It was AWESOME! HAHA! I hadn't had so much fun in a LOOOOOOOOONG time!

Well, first we gathered at school on Thursday night. I was late as usual, but at least I was earlier than WEES KIIS! HEHE! SHE was LAST! Anyway, we were split into groups and I was in the same group as half of the Camwhore Gang! Namely Giselle and Yaggy. Haha Chi-E was in some other not-so-cool group xD

SO, I sat with Chi-E on the bus and we traveled OVERNIGHT all the way to Langkawi. The only breaks were toilet breaks. Haha and well, I couldn't sleep at all, thus the super-tiredness of me when we arrived at the jetty. I was FREAKIN tired. But then, if you know me, you'd know that when I get very little sleep, first I'll be damn tired, then I'll become the complete antithesis and become VERY VERY VERY hyper!

And true enough, I became VERY VERY VERY hyper! HAHAH! But on the ferry I just HAD to sleep, while everyone else was watching Jangan Pandang Belakang Congkak. Wth. So we reached Langkawi Island and I have to say, I was pretty impressed! I never thought Langkawi would be so... picturesque.

So we went to the zoo. BLABLABLA. Went to Galleria Perdana showcasing Mahathir's cool shit. BLABLABLA. Went to Oriental Village. The scenery at the peaks were SOOOO NICE. Got back to the hotel, played volleyball and football. Went for dinner and shopping. Came back to hotel. Died.

Haha I guess the lack of sleep from the bus ride caught up with me and I went to bed super early! The next day, Jon (my roomie!) and I got up late. heheheh! And we went ISLAND HOPPING! The islands were pretty awesome! VERY nice scenery and the beaches were pretty clean! And we watched eagles feeding too! But the highlight of it all was probably the boat ride, when many of us climbed onto the deck and just relaxed and let the wind blow into our faces. FUYOH. Quite syok.

Went for lunch and shopping and other stuff, during which Chi-E was COMPLETELY RETARDED and slapped me SEVERAL TIMES. Giselle didn't bother to help me. She just stood by the side and laughed.

But perhaps the highlight of the entire trip was the watching of "Orphan"! Shit man. It's probably the freakiest movie I've ever watched. I think The Ring and Shutter were nowhere near as freaky. HAHA! Petunia the Chicken was hiding behind the pillow and grabbing onto Prettyful's arm, which scared the shit out of Prettyful, while Putiful sat unwavering and unscared, or so we think. Haha Peter sat like a man and DID NOT scream throughout the whole show. OK, maybe once or twice.

Well, the truth of the matter is, compared to before, life is treating me PRETTY WELL =D ahahah besides a few minor bumps, life's been SMOOTH-SAILING =D so far anyway. hehe.

Exams are COMING! AND YOU ALL KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS! The nerd in Zyang shall live and walk this Earth again! I'm gonna eat studying, breathe studying, sleep studying and shit studying! Ok, maybe only three of those. I'll let you decide which three =P

Oh, and in case some of you don't know, our exams got BROUGHT FORWARD. YES. I KNOW. LESS TIME TO STUDY. AND I CAN'T FREAKIN' GO FOR THE ATP MALAYSIAN OPEN. WTH?!! STUPID! Oh well. Longer post exams then =) 4W is going to own! MUAAHAHHAHAHHA!

IT'S THE 17TH OF APRIL!!! Well, it WAS, anyway. Just yesterday. Well, TECHNICALLY two days ago, but heck =P

AND THUS it was the birthday of KHARENEE KOH ZHI XIN!! One of my bestest pals ever! =D And so, in this very public blog (or so I like to think), I'd like to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY KHARENEE!! YOU'RE FINALLY 16!!! Now we can watch 16 and above movies!! If there is such a movie rating. Hehe =P

Anyway, Kharenee gave me a REALLY sweet birthday post on my 16th birthday, so I'm gonna return the favour. Not because I have to, but because I want to. =D

So I'll start about how I met Kharenee. We were in Standard 6 in the... Don't know how to describe, school in KL, Kuen Cheng (2)!! So yeah, I kept hearing Kharenee's name being spoken by the girls in my class and I was like, who's that? Hehe, so one day, she adds me in MSN, and somehow, we couldn't stop talking!

Hehe! And the topics we talked and talked and talked about in Strd 6 were.. rather inappropriate for our age at the time =P but heck right!? It brought us together! So come Form One, coincidentally she came to WMS too!! So yeah, we continued to talk and talk and talk... until something happened.

*SUSPENSE*

AND THEN, things went back to normal, after a brief period of silence. Anyway, Kharenee and I became closer and I confided EVERYTHING in her. Like EVERYTHING. Haha, I even dubbed her my living diary! So yeah, even if she didn't FULLY confide in me. But it's okay =P

I don't know, I felt comfortable telling her stuff. Stuff that I wouldn't tell anyone else, save maybe Rong, Jen, Ken, and Juin. Though I can't really remember ALL the stuff I told her, since I told her A LOT. So almost every night, I'd stay up late, with my room lights off as a ruse, then I'd go online and chat with her for VERY VERY VERY long!

Come Form Two and later Form Three, nothing really changed between us and we still chatted A LOT. Thennnnnnnnnnn, Kharenee one day told me that she was gonna transfer to a different school! WTH MAN?! So yeah! I was pretty sad, but the gravity of the whole thing didn't really strike me until the day before she left.

Her last day in WMS. Gee I remember it. I was DAMN EMO. Laura and Kaisin were going around with a videocam but they captured the PRE-EMONESS of Zyang. hahha! So yeah, Kharenee is SO FAR the first and only girl to make me cry. Because I knew, that EVENTUALLY, inevitably, we'd drift and lose contact all together, and that would seriously SUCK. Well at least she's happy at SIS!

Kharenee's one of those people who'd never hesitate to help a friend. In ANYTHING at all. Believe me she helped me a lot in a lot of stuff. We'd always hear out each other's ranting, no matter the problem. It's safe to say that at one point, she was the person I trusted most in the world.

OK enough with the emoness! Happy Birthday Kharenee!! Have a great one! Still miss having you around in WMS. Bye BuddyPal! =) You know I love you! And I know you love me. xD

The Hardest Farewell.

Yesterday, well technically two days ago, I bade farewell to my sister, Zhi-Yen and my cousin, Lu-Min. They were off to Australia to further their studies and well, yeah I became EXTREMELY, uncharacteristically emo. =(

So, the Low Clan converged at KLIA to wish them all the best and good luck, to study hard and resist temptations that riddle the world outside the bubble of protection unconditionally provided by our parents, grandparents and relatives.

YOU SEE THE EMO-NESS STILL HASN'T WORN OFF. And yeah, I cried. Yes, Zyang the Uncrying, cried. You wouldn't know how it feels to watch your buddy pass through the immigration lines and walk the path leading towards the terminal, until she finally disappears out of sight.

Thus, this is a farewell post dedicated to my elder sister, Zhi-Yen and cousin, Lumin.

Gee, this is becoming a habit. =(

Known to me as Jie, Ah Ji, Ah Jie, or Jie Jie, my sis has always been there for me. Though we used to fight A LOT when we were younger, when my Dad would force us to hug and make up even though we'd still feel like killing each other, as we grew older we and our younger sis bonded like a regular gang would, just with three members with pretty the same name. =P

Jie would always help me solve my problems, be it with schoolwork, schoolwork, or schoolwork. Kidding! =P she'd help me with EVERYTHING. and ANYTHING. I think. There are some things I haven't asked for her help with =D when I was emo and angry and all, she'd comfort me and offer solutions to my problems. Though they were usually sound advice, being the stubborn dumbass that I am, sometimes I didn't listen, and eventually paid for it. Oops =P

And I'd tell her almost everything. Hehe notice almost =P hahaha a guy's gotta have his secrets right? ehehe! She's like my buddy, one of my closest friends. I trust her with most stuff, though there was THAT ONE TIME when she slipped =P but I don't blame you Jie! haha!

Flashback umpteen years ago! My sister would always, and I mean ALWAYS try to beat me! At ANYTHING and EVERYTHING! Profound one-upmanship you could call it =P and she usually did beat me at stuff. Most stuff anyway. =P She craved the attention that my parents showered me with. >=D *haha I'm kidding myself* xD

Being a nerd, something I think she's quite proud of, as am I, she would study and study and study. Needless to say she excelled in the exams, setting a high bar for me. But instead of trying to maintain her dominance, she pushed me to excel. Thanks Jie =D and beat her I did! Sometimes anyway. =P

And of course, my music buddy. The piano whiz she is, she always chuan me with her scary skills. But nvm, my guitar owns hers. HEHE! But we'd always jam random stuff, and it's cool! For me anyway. I don't think she particularly enjoys it, but heck =P

Lumin, you could say that she too, was a sister figure to me. Since the six of us grew up together, we were all like siblings, and her being the eldest of the "gang" xD, I guess I looked up to her as I did my own sister. One of the One Tree Hill-ing buddies, we spent endless hours watching the show =P haha fun!

Well, I need to be sleeping now, I'm going to climb mountain with Yeye tomorrow in like 6 hours. HEHE! Well, here's a few thousand words for you to feast your eyes on. =D

Life Recap!

Ok, I am completely aware that I'm a useless blogger. I know I've been neglecting this blog but what the hell, not many readers anyway. But I appreciate my readers =D

ANYWAY, I guess I should provide you guys with a PRETTY long post considering the PRETTY long period of inactivity. Plus there's gonna be MORE inactivity coming up since exams are coming. AND I'M NOT MY USUAL NERD SELF. I'M SCREWED.

Ok, so here goes.

Valentine's Day! We Wesleyans had the most enjoyable event held on that day by complete coincidence! The Jogathon! Notice coincidence. NOTICE IT. Haha so yeah, I'm part of the Interact Club so I didn't get to run. So I was manning a WATER station! But it wasn't so bad. Albeit mosquitoes seem to be attracted to me like bees to honey.

Anyway, I was at the station with Keng Yee and Mdm. Farah Hani. Ya I'm PRETTY sure that's how you spell her name. So we killed time killing mosquitoes! Yes, I think I killed 10 that day! Ah Mi Tuo Fo! Haha but I left with MANY MANY bites. The people were doing the mosquito fogging just like 10 metres away but nooo, they didn't fog OUR area. Annoying-ness! And it seems we were WAY too liberal with our limited water supply. =D We ran out like halfway through. And the poor runners had no water. HHAHHAHAH!

Quite an eventful day, I'd say. Only after I'd left the place, that is.

Now switching to something which I remember less vaguely, Leadership Camp '09! Citing that this was my last year that I could take part in this annual do, I decided to join. So, for obvious reasons, everyone in the gang got seperated and split into different groups. I was in Group 3, Pisces. At the beginning, the only people I knew were Gui Ming, Zi Yang and Seow Wei.

Well, it's a good thing I got to know everyone else! The first day, well the first game everyone was obviously still kinda awkward and shy. But we warmed up to each other eventually, special thanks to our facilitators Su-Yen and De Lon! =D

The games were UBER FUN! Know that I NEVER use that word, so it must have been PRETTY DAMN FUN! Good thing I went this year! PLUS, my group won! >=P hehehe!

Ok, this is CERTAINLY not a pretty long post but I need to study! Sorry loyal readers! School's pretty much been hell lately. Sports practice really IS hell! Partly my fault =P but heck. It's for Red House!!! Sejarah is making me swear, Bio is making me go "What the hell?" and Physics's all a blur. And someone's making me REALLY pissed off. You know who you are.
Forgiving an enemy is easier than forgiving a friend. How true.

I hate writing these farewell posts, they make me so damn depressed.

Well, this second one I dare say is worse. We bade farewell to Rae on the 24th of January, as she departed for Melbourne, Australia to study Year 10 there. Unfortunately, most of us were not able to see her off at the airport, as it was WAY too early.

So, Raelene Tan Yi Mei. What can I say about her? Haha truth be told I only got to know her AFTER I found out that she was going to Aus. SADNESS. Anyway, I sat next to her in Science last year, and to my amazement she could actually tahan my annoying-ness! Yes, you need a natural gift to tahan me!

So yeah, that's kinda where I got to know her at first. Then of course she was our class monitor, so YES we gave her a hard time but I'm sure she appreciates it as it has PROBABLY made her more tough. Right? =P

Hehe so anyway, the time I got to know her best was when she, Juin, Qwei, Liksheng and I were working on the "Design A Dream Home" inter-class contest. MANY a happy time we had while fighting with Google Sketchup and our CRAZY high-ness when we found out we could RIP OFF other people's work on the Internet! HAHHAHHAHAH!!

And yes of course the BANG BANG game! In which I often killed Rae first =P Don't know why. EHHEHEH! And many other crazy moments including our crazy Signs games and all! That's where I VERY OFTEN heard her weirded squealing sound! HAHAHHAH!! UTTER FUNNINESS!

All that aside, I found Rae to be a great friend, someone you can always count on, someone always willing to listen, someone who would offer sound advice, albeit VERY sacarstic =P but sound advice still. Not having her in school just feels so different. Something missing you know?

So I'd like to take this opportunity to ONCE AGAIN, wish Rae all the best, good luck adapting, and I sincerely hope you enjoy life in Melbourne! And gee, the Australian Open is going on there! Go watch lah Rae!! Eat more but don't grow fat, study hard but don't become a nerd! Save money but don't be a scrooge, be generous but don't be Oprah! =D Gee, I should be some inspirational writer!

So Long, Farewell.

Tonight we bid farewell to one Audrey Seng who is migrating to Australia. WHY?!!

We'll all miss her sorely and thus I intend to dedicate this post to Audrey.

I only met Audrey in Form 2, I think. Anyway, I only got to know her in Form Three when she, DingSheng, Rebecca and I sat together for KH. And we spouted lots of useless crap but it was fun. And then the two of us got chosen to send our KH folios to the Ministry for something. *COUGHBECAUSEWEWERETHEBESTCOUGH*

Haha, THUS, we spent QUITE A FEW HOURS in the KH room along with some other people who were doing the same thing. And yeah, that's probably where I got to know her most. And of course there were the MANY times we played senseless and hyper games in class along with the rest of the jakuns of 3L!

AND THEN, there was the time when only the two of us (or rather the only two I knew of) wanted to join the school tennis team! And so yes we started talking about her beloved Federer and other tennis freak stuff! I still can't believe she went to watch him. I WANTED TO GO! And everytime Federer loses (which is becoming pretty frequent, Audrey!), she'd complain to me and trash talk his opponent. HEHEH! Sore loser! =P

And of course the surprise party for her at Peggy's house! (Not very successful!) Haha, yes we sang karaoke and went SUPER crazy! She can actually sing Mariah Carey's songs! What the hell! And getting lost in Peggy's backyard! Haha it's a freaking JUNGLE! Haha yes, we had lots of fun that day!

So yeah, tonight she's getting on an aeroplane, and I don't know when she'll be back again. Or maybe in 11 months =P Anyway, all the best to you, Audrey! Hope you fit right in there and enjoy your new life free of the troubles ever so rife here in Malaysia. You know what I'm talking about, Audrey! And remember to keep in contact with us!

Sweet Sixteen!

The more un-MTV stlyed ones. Just the way I like it.

I woke up at like 8!! Which in my holiday universe is pretty freaking early. Haha only had like 5 hours of sleep. Something I would regret later! Ajourned to Juin's house, and talked and crapped for awhile with Ivan and Juin, then left for SUNWAY!

Well, FLASHBACK! This trip was organized to celebrate Juin's and my sixteenth birthday! Though it didn't coincide with mine, it was just four days off. And since they're so close together and we're so kiamsiap, we had a joint sweet sixteen!

Anyway, we arrived there late, but we were the first to arrive! So we waited for Quinnie to come and arrange the hotel reservations and stuff. Then Chris, Stan, Ivan, Weijun, Juin, Quinnie and I made our way to Sunway Lagoon! As we were lining up, Rae and Joey appeared! Just in time!

After much negotiating and lining up in the wrong line, we finally got into the famed theme park, our usual haunt for our annual theme park outings. I had an absolute blast in there! I think we spent like 6 hours in there!

Then upon leaving the park, I heard someone calling me. Turns out it was Xyang and Sheng! They were outside the gates!

Sheng: WE'VE BEEN HERE FOR THREE AND A HALF HOURS YOU KNOW?!!
Zyang: Why didn't you just buy a ticket and come in?
Xyang: We scared you bought for us adi mahh!

Hehe, maybe we should have called them and told them that earlier! Oh well, we then went to Pyramid Tower where we would be holding up for the night. After Quinnie's dad settled everything (Thanks!), we bid farewell to Stan and Chris, who both were SUPPOSED to leave two hours before.

Went into the hotel room, bathed (which took REALLY LONG to get everyone to start doing), decided on the venue for our dinner that night (which took even longer), and went! Then we made our way to Sunway Pyramid, which is linked to the hotel. It took us FOREVER to find the freaking restaurant, but by all means it was worth it.

Sushi Zanmai was really a surprise! The food was good and it was pretty affordable! Much to my relief, since I was VERY hungry up to the point where I became a little cranky. Sorry guys =P 11 people and the bill amounted to RM160+. Imagine that, in a pretty upscale Japanese restaurant!
While we were eating, JEN CAME! And we played LOADS of stupid but fun games and riddles! I tell you I don't think I'd ever been sooo frustrated! Haha but it was DAMN fun! Especially when I frustrated THE REST! Hehehhehe!

After the wholesome dinner, we went to the cinema to buy tickets for "Bedtime Stories". The one with the hamsap guy Adam Sandler. With 40 minutes to kill, we spent 10 minutes mulling over whether or not we should go back to the hotel, another 10 minutes to get moving, but a second to decide, "Neh, lazy walk lah."

Haha then the clock struck 12 and the girls screamed birthday wishes and the guys.. just wished. =P To one of my dearest friends, Low Xiao Juin! Definitely one of the most supportive and helpful yet helpless and hopeless people I've ever met, she's one of me best friends and also my braintrust! Also one of the nicest people you'll ever know. So Happy 16th Birthday, Juin! You're now the oldest person among the 20! But I'll be there soon. Hehe..

Anyway, the movie was pretty okay, and after that we walked the long walk back to the hotel where Juin and I became absolutely DEAD. Two of us just collapsed on the bed (different beds!), and I closed my eyes waiting for sleep to take over. But the lights went off and the firey light of the wavering flames of the birthday candles were all that lit the room.

The rest broke out into song while Juin and I enjoyed it as I kinda blushed. Though no one could see in the dim lighting. Wished our wishes and blew the flames out. It's safe to say that I was pretty damn happy! Ate the cake, which was Secret Recipe's Chocolate Mud Cake. It was SOOOOOOO sweet. Haha, I couldn't have a second piece and if you know me that's kinda unusual.

Anyway, after that, we talked and crapped and played our hyper and stupid games! Since we were WAY too tired, we tweaked the Dare Game to become the Truth Game. Yes, boring you would think, but I feel more enlightened now. Then we "wrestled" which resulted in me falling hard on my ass. =P Thanks Sheng!

Oh yeah, and we watched "Mean Girls" from Quinnie's iPod. Your favourite movie! Anyway, we soon got hungry and we went to 7-11 at like 5 something in the morning, ate, then went BACK there again to buy poker cards at like 7 something! After a few rounds of Bluff/Cheat/Lie/Bullshit I just couldn't take it anymore. I'd been awake for exactly 24 hours and I collapsed into a deep sleep.

When I woke, the rest except Weijun, Juin, Rae and I had gone to ice-skate and came back. So we checked out, waited for some to go home, then Weijun, Juin and I explored Sunway Pyramid, in search of Weijun's slippers which he swore to buy but didn't =P

Then Juin's dad picked us up (Thanks!), and we went to her place yet again. We were damn tired but we still managed to be hyper for a little while, talking and crapping and cam-whoring like the crazy people we are. After a while I went home with Weijun, dropped him off and went home. And that concluded my sweet sixteen. And it rocked. Like crazy.

Thoughts Before The Afterthought.

I got SEVEN A'S FOR PMR!!! MUAHAHAHAA!!! My dream for the past three years!

Relief blossomed, but more pride and LOOK-AT-ME-I-PAWNED-PMR-ness! Though honestly I was kinda expecting it. But why jinx it eh? =P And for those who know me personally, you would probably know my really retarded studying habits. And you'd probably go like "What the hell?" if I missed my BM. Or anything for that matter =P

Yes, deep down I'm a nerd who DOES give shit about my exams. Actually I give A LOT of shit. Add the my natural kiasu-ness and you've got this super nerd who won't stop studying. I even read a blog by some Munsyi Dewan to get BM tips. AND GUESS WHAT! IT WORKED! Haha >=P

Anyway, to all those who did well, congratulations extended! And to those who did ok, there's always SPM to own >=)
